I want to personally welcome you to our website, where you can find information about Freemasonry in Florida, more specifically, the Most Worshipful Illustrious Renford P. Brown Grand Lodge. We are under the jurisdiction of International Free and Accepted Modern Masons, Inc.

Our Fraternal Order was founded in 1950 in the United States based on the formalization of Ancient Freemasonry, as adopted by four original lodges in 1717 at the Goose and Gridiron Ale-House in England.

Freemasonry is the oldest and largest fraternal organization in the world; with a membership of six million Masons worldwide. We believe the tolerance of another’s view of government and nature is to be preserved, unchallenged and we strive to maintain and live by the globally recognized qualities of good character.

We adhere to the ancient moral principles of Freemasonry, and follow the 25 Landmarks of Freemasonry. I invite you to get to know more about us, what we do, and our charitable work throughout the State of Florida. Should you be interested in becoming a Mason, just ask one!

// It all started in 1950 when Dr. William V. Banks, Rev. William Kirksey, and Brother Henry Allen came together to form this Fraternal Order. Based on key Christian principles, IFAMM was formed and set up. Headquarterd in Detroit, Michigan; we have a presence in 38 states, Bahamas and on the continent of Africa.//

// In 1950 when IFAMM was getting organized around the USA, Rev. Rufus Beacham helped to organize various sections of the state. In 1995, the  St. James Grand Lodge was formed with the late Bishop R.F. Coleman serving as the first Grand Master. The name was changed in 2009 with  Florida remaining #1 in the entire Fraternal Order. //

//Freemasonry is a beautiful system of morality, veiled in allegories and illustrated by signs and symbols. The formal structure as we know it was started in 1717. It is an ancient institution that maintains principles and landmarks that govern how good men are able to become better men. The Holy Bible is the rule and guide of our lives.//

//Within the State of Florida, there are degree departments from the 1° to the 33° degree along with service departments that assist in serving the brotherhood. We have Marshals, Clergy,  First Aid Responders,  and others who help to make our brotherhood strong. We are our brother's keeper every step of the way.//

//Whether you have a question or need additional information about our Fraternal Order, please contact us. If you need to contact one of our members or leaders, please feel free to review the brothers listed on the page and submit an email or give them a call. We do our best to respond to all emails/inquiries within 24-48 hours.//
