Bro. Tommy Frank Myers

Dunbar Lodge #15

Tommy Frank Myers was born on January 27, 1946 in Columbus, Georgia to the union of Tommie Lee Miles and Ophelia Burton. He attended grade school in Americus, Georgia and later relocated to Fort Myers, Florida at the age of 14, where he attended and graduated from Dunbar High School, class of 1965.

During that time, he met and married his high school sweetheart Harriet Brown. Together, they celebrated 44 years of a good and affectionate marriage. From this union two children were born: Kenneth Maurice and Theresa Nesche'.

Tommy was a Plasterer by trade. He owned and operated T. Myers Plastering for nearly 15 years. After a brief retirement from plastering, he went to work for the Housing Authority of the City of Fort Myers; from there, he went on to work for the Lee County School District where he finally retired after 10 years of dedicated service.

He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and joined Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, where he served faithfully as an usher and later joined the male chorus. He was a member of Dunbar Lodge #15 within International Free and Accepted Modern Masons, Inc. and Order of the Eastern Star.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Hansel Hardy and two grandchildren: Kendra and Tyler.
